1. Discovery

To begin, we’ll get acquainted with you, your people, objectives, priorities, and the major parts of your project.
We’ll also let you know the approximate budget bracket for your project.

2. Staging

Together we’ll identify and prioritize the project’s objectives. Large projects will be executed in phases 1-2 months long, which are made up of cycles 2-3 weeks long. Objectives providing the greatest value to you will be tackled first. Each phase will begin with an agreement on its basic objectives and approximate budget. Then the development cycles will begin.

3. Development Cycles – 2-3 weeks each

We split projects into 2- to 3-week cycles to maximize our productivity and to minimize your risk exposure through frequent testing and feedback. Here’s the routine:

1. Together we’ll choose the tasks to include in the cycle (greatest value first).
2. We’ll write a time and materials estimate for the cycle, and you’ll pay 50%.
3. When applicable, we’ll develop user stories and wireframes together to explore the best path to achieving the objective.
4. Next, we’ll build a working prototype for key pieces of functionality and, if applicable, design interface concepts to showcase the planned visual style.
5. Once you’ve approved the initial work, we’ll complete the programming and design.

6. A thorough internal quality assurance process will precede your review and requested revisions.
7. With final approval, the work will be launched for your use.
8. You’ll pay the remainder of the actual time and materials cost.

At the close of any cycle you have the freedom to suspend development or change developers. You’ll receive access to all work completed to date, if all work has been paid for in full.

4. Launch

At launch, we’ll complete any planned documentation and finish training you to use the system.
To conclude the project, we’ll review with you what went well and how we can serve you better in the future.

5. Ongoing Support

After launch, we’ll continue to provide you with timely support and assistance through your Service Plan. As long as your Service Plan is active, your website or web application will remain hosted and actively managed on our Rackspace platform.
